According to Cosrx, the Make Me Lovely Cream took 3 months of Research & Design and conducted test 7 times in regards to the color and texture.
If you have one or more of these concerns, this cream claims to help it:
Luckily (or unluckily) for me, I have all of them except the dry crackling skin....so this cream should be right up my alley.
My skin type: Oily, acne-prone, large pores, ice pick acne scars
It's thick. Maybe I've been used to the texture of bb cushions for a while, but I was afraid it was going to be too much for me when I first saw it come out of the tube.
With lavender as one of its main ingredients, it has the faintest lavender smell. Nothing annoying like some artificial rosy smell.
What I found really nice about this cream is that while it was thick when you squeezed it out of the tube, it turned out to be very lightweight when I started spreading it on my face. It also comes out very light, but once I started blending, it started to match my skin tone more and more. You can build up the coverage, but I think one layer does a good enough job.
|By no means does it hide my acne scars (didn't expect it to), but the parts that don't have much scarring look smoother.|
This is where it gets slightly laughable for me. Honestly, I was hesitating to use this and it has been hiding in my drawer for the past 2 months. I'm not sure why, but there was something about this cream that screamed "it's going to make you oily". But last week, I gravitated towards it and decided today was the day! And boy, it looked good. And girl, eventually oil and makeup were dripping down my forehead and cheeks a few hours in.
- Does not break me out
- Brightens my skin without me looking pale or sick
- Doesn't smell like heavily perfumed bb cream that I've used in the past
- My face felt hydrated
- BASICALLY, AFTER APPLYING MY SKIN LOOKED...
- Does not control oil like it claims
- Which means it does not last for more than a couple of hours on me
- Comes in only one shade
I think my skin looks PRETTY DAMN AMAZING after applying this. And it looks great even after two hours of having it on. It's after three or more hours that suck. There's nothing worse than going to the restroom and looking in the mirror just to see a giant oil/makeup glob forming on the center of your forehead. I think I'm going to stay away from products that claim to be both moisturizing and control oil, because it's just not working for me. If you happen to have dry (or even normal) skin and love the "dewy" look, I think this would be the best bb cream to use for you. It's brightening and I can feel it moisturizing my face, even though I don't want it to. A little goes a long way as well. If they happen to make a matte version of this, I'd purchase it without even thinking twice. But until then....nerp.
